PHS Boys Stay Perfect In BBC



Hilltop hosted Pettisville, Tuesday, Dec. 19, for a Buckeye Border Conference game.

Three Birds scored in double figures as they defeated the defending BBC champions 79-36 to run their record to 6-0, 5-0 BBC.

Pettisville jumped out to a 21-9 lead after the first period and increased it to 36-22 at the half.

The Birds scored 43 second half points and held Hilltop (1-5, 1-3 BBC) to 14 for the easy win.

Canidate Vickery led all scorers with 22 points. Sam Rychener and Graeme Jacoby chipped in 20 and 14 points, respectively.

Pettisville shot 57% from the field on 35-61 shooting and held Hilltop to 15-39 shooting for 38%.

The Birds pounded the glass, out-rebounding the Cadets 37-12, including 15 offensive rebounds.
