The Pettisville baseball team picked up its first win of the season last week in a Buckeye Border Conference game with Fayette, but dropped a conference game to Hilltop for a 1-1 BBC record.

Pettisville broke into the win column, Thursday, April 14, with an 8-2 BBC victory over Fayette.
The Birds scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and added two in the third, one in the fifth, and two in the sixth.
Fayette out-hit PHS 5-4, but committed four errors.
Evan King, Justin Rupp, Dillon King, and John Rufenacht each singled, with D. King knocking in three runs batted in. Rufenacht had one RBI.
Christian Barhite recorded the win on the mound. Pitching a complete game, he gave up five hits, struck out 10 and walked two.
Hilltop 5, PHS 0
The Cadets shut out the Blackbirds 5-0, Friday, April 15.
PHS mustered just one hit– a single by Landon Roth, while the Cadets had nine.
Roth also suffered the loss, giving up five runs on six hits and striking out seven in five innings.
