Mike Pressler, Archbold Middle School principal, had to color his white hair purple for a day after his students won a challenge, Friday, April 11.
The student body had to raise $100 as they walked in the gym door for a dodgeball game featuring the "Purple Cobras" eighth grade team versus AMS teachers. The students raised $250 right away, which goes to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
The second part of the challenge: the Purple Cobras had to beat the teachers two out of three games. The Purple Cobras lost to the teachers last year, but won in two games this year. Kevin "Scoop" Miller was the last teacher standing.
The students raised about $350 in 20 minutes and have raised a total of about $1000 with more fund-raisers to come.
