When telephone scammers tried to victimize Sue Segrist, 57, Archbold, they failed.
Segrist told police on Thursday, July 17, she had received calls from “Card Services” regarding her credit card. When she returned their calls, they attempted to sell her services. She called her credit card company and was told it was a scam. Segrist did not suffer a monetary loss.
She also told police she received another call from the same company; caller ID revealed the call was from a local number. In their report, police officers said they called that number, but it always rang busy.
