Phone Harassment Reported To APD

Archbold police issued Mary C. Chase, 64, rural Archbold, a summons to appear in Western District Court on a charge of telecommunications harassment on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Chase also faces 14 charges of animal cruelty. The charges are detailed in another article.

Robert W. Chase, 94, Fairlawn

Apartments, Mary’s father, filed a complaint with police on Sept. 24, saying his daughter had called him.

She had been warned by police not to contact him after a Sept. 21 incident, in which Robert told officers he was being harassed over the telephone.

He told officers the person was calling him, blaming him for all of that person’s problems.

In an earlier report, Chase reported a person who visited him took his cell phone on Monday, Sept. 15. He reported the phone missing on Sept. 18.

Police attempted to contact the subject, but were unsuccessful. The phone was returned later that day.
