Pettisville Wins Woodmore Invite

The Pettisville boys golf team won the Woodmore Invitational, Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Bowling Green.

The Birds finished with a team score of 328, 18 strokes ahead of second-place Lakota in the 13-team tournament.

Tommy McWatters earned match medalist honors, shooting a low score of 76. Joining him on the All-Tournament Team were teammates Max Leppelmeier and Caleb Nafziger, who tied for fourth with 81s.

Josh Horning shot a 90, and Jake King had a 102.

Genoa Invitational

The Birds finished third in the Genoa Invitational, Friday, Aug. 9, at Maumee Bay Golf Course.

Genoa won its invite with a team score of 319. Liberty- Benton was second with a 334, and the Birds shot a 337 in the six-team tournament.

McWatters was low man for PHS, shooting a 78. Leppelmeier finished with a 79; Nafziger, 89; Horning, 91; King, 92; and Levi Myers, 104.
