Pettisville started out strong, scoring two goals in the first 20 minutes. Phillip Roth hit a shot from 20 yards out over the outstretched arms of the Bryan net-minder.

Q. Nofziger struck next with a volleyed chip shot off a pass from Jordan Klopfenstein over the goalie.

Disaster then struck, as midfi elder Brian Plank severely sprained his ankle after stopping a cross. With one less defender, the Golden Bears capitalized on the opportunity and finished with a goal after a save from Andy Switzer.

A penalty kick was awarded to Bryan as a forward collided with a Pettisville defender just inside the box. The Golden Bear then put the ball into the right side of the goal.

Pettisville picked up the intensity in the second half and capitalized on a corner kick opportunity.

After the cross was punched out of the 18-yard line, defender Jacob Nofziger put the ball back into the box.

The ball went all the way through and past the goalie, who got tangled up with forward Jeremy Rupp. Pettisville hung on for a 3-2 victory.
