The Pettisville School Board looked over problems with its just-under-one-yearold school building during its Monday, Sept. 10 meeting.
Board members took a tour of the new facility in preparation of the 11-month walk-through with representatives of the contractors who built the building.
Contracts call for any issues to be resolved prior to the one-year anniversary of the district occupying the new school facility.
Among the items board members viewed:
•Sidewalks and an exterior set of stairs.
•Water flowing off the roof, including several places where there has been a virtual “waterfall,” overflowing the eaves and in one place, cascading onto the sidewalk.
•Air-circulating unit in the elementary wing that had been repaired with more than 30 welds.
Steve Switzer, superintendent, said all of the problems will be discussed at the inspection, Thursday, Sept. 13, at 10 am.–D.J. Neuenschwander
