Pettisville Girls Sixth At Wayne Trace Invite



The Pettisville girls track team finished sixth out of 13 teams at the Wayne Trace Track Invitational, Friday, April 15.

Notre Dame won with 120 points. Holgate was second with 73, and Fairview was third with 65.

Pettisville finished with 42.

The 4×800-meter relay team of Elizabeth Sauder, Nichole Foor, Morgan Leppelmeier, and Alexa Leppelmeier set a meet record of 9 minutes, 53.25 seconds, breaking the record of 10:00.37 set in 2008 by Notre Dame.

In the boys events, Pettisville’s Zach Morrison was the only one to place. He finished sixth in the pole vault with a jump of 9 feet, 6 inches.

Edgerton’s Colin Etchen set a meet record of 14-1 to win.

100-meter hurdles: 1. Keber (Tinora) 16.31 seconds; 6. Hannah Herring 18.65.

800: 1. Gorman (Lincolnview) 2:24.71; 2. Sauder 2:29.36.

3200: 1. Vining (Notre Dame) 11:42.73; 3. A. Leppelmeier 11:58.8; 6. Foor 12:16.56.

4×400: 1. Notre Dame 4:17.27 meet record; 4. Pettisville (Tessa Waidelich, Sauder, Rebekah Liechty, A. Leppelmeier) 4:30.22.

Pole vault: 1. Johnston (Ayersville) 8-0; 2. K. Pursel 7-6.
