Pettisville Girls Beat Eagles, Improve To 6-5

The Pettisville girls basketball team improved to 6-5, 5-2 in the Buckeye Border Conference with a 28-20 victory over North Central, Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Bird Cage.

“Our defense was solid tonight,” said Jason Waldvogel, PHS head coach. “I thought we gave them a few different looks to keep them off-balance.”

Pettisville led 8-4 after one, 18-13 at the half, and 23-18 after three.

Morgan Leppelmeier was the only player to score in double digits, scoring 10 points for PHS.

Allyson Fenicle led the Eagles (5-8, 3-4 BBC), with six.

North Central won the rebounding battle, 22-19, but committed double the turnovers, 18-9.
