The Pettisville boys soccer team defeated Maumee Valley Country Day 3-1, Saturday, Sept. 11.
Taylor Short and Chris Thuma scored with assists from Caleb Liechty, and Philip Roth scored an unassisted goal on a penalty kick.
The Birds hosted Waite, Tuesday, Sept. 14, and won 4-0.
Taylor Short scored two unassisted goals. Gonzalo Hernandez scored with an assist by Gabe Valdez, and David Reyes scored with an assist from Jacob Rupp.
Pettisville lost 1-0 at Kalida, Friday, Sept. 17, on a penalty kick 15 minutes into the game.
The game stayed close throughout, but Kalida seemed to have overall control over ball possession throughout the match, and the PHS defense had to continuously protect the goal.
The Birds are 5-3-1 on the season.
