Pettisville Boys Soccer Stands 6-5-3

The Pettisville boys soccer team is 6-5-3 after falling to Lenawee Christian 2-1, Thursday, Oct. 7 and playing Archbold to a 3-3 tie, Saturday, Oct. 9.

Against LC, Gonzalo Hernandez had Pettisville’s only goal on an unassisted play.

The Birds jumped out to a 3-0 lead against AHS after goals were scored by Taylor Short, Gabe Valdez, and David Reyes in the first half. Philip Roth recorded an assist on Short’s goal.

Jarett Lerma scored a goal for AHS with five minutes left in the first half with an assist by Adrian Ramirez.

Lerma scored two more goals in the second half, both with assists from Aaron Bontrager, to tie the score at 3.

The PHS junior varsity team beat the Streaks 4-3 in Saturday’s first game.
