   Stryker: Martha E. Sullivan, 90, of rural Stryker, Ohio, died Wednesday morning, March 5, 2008 in Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice.

   She was born in Delta, Ohio on Oct. 11, 1917  to the late John Richard and Ella Opal (Huyck) Green.
   Martha married Robert S. Sullivan on March 8, 1936, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1987.
   She was a graduate of Stryker High School class of 1935. She received her B.S. in Education from B.G.S.U. in Aug. 1971 and her Masters in Education from B.G.S.U. in Aug. 1976.
   Martha was a teacher at Archbold Elementary Schools for 19 years.  She was a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Assn., Williams County Retired Teachers Assn., and Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society.
   In the 1950s, 60s, and 70s she was a Williams County 4-H Advisor, a Red Cross Volunteer and election board member. In the 1980s and 1990s she worked with the Laubach Reading Program and also continued to educate young people by tutoring in Stryker and Archbold following her retirement.    
   Mrs. Sullivan is survived by one son, Larry (Denise) Sullivan, Stryker, Ohio; one daughter, Anna Marie (Jeff) Sprow,  Stryker, Ohio;  grandchildren Robin (Eric) Stewart, Randy (Kris) Deniston, Michelle (Matt) Yoder, Jason (Chandra) Sprow, Josh (Amanda)  Sprow; great-grandchildren:  Kyle Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Craig Stewart, Chelsea Deniston,  Mckensie Sprow, Emma Sprow,  Sydney Yoder, Owen Yoder; and a brother, Charles Green, Ocala, Fla.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers,  Marion Francis, Nelson, and Lyle Richard Green;  sisters,  Mary (Glenn) Short and Louise Green; and a  grandson,  Robert Troy Sullivan.
   Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 in the Grisier Funeral Home, Stryker, with the Rev. Donna J. Stutzman, officiating.
   Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Stryker.
   A fellowship meal will be served following the graveside services in the Stryker Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.  
   Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
   Memorial contributrions may be made to the Friends of the Stryker Library or the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice.
