Orpha A. Klopfenstein

Orpha A. Klopfenstein, age 91 years, of Archbold, passed away Saturday morning, July 3, 2010, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.

She was born July 4, 1918, near Stryker, the daughter of John and Verna (Graber) Fielitz Sr. She married Roy Klopfenstein on March 24, 1938, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1988.

A resident of the Wauseon/ Archbold area many years, she worked at the former Nafziger Ice Cream and the Doughbox Bakery.

She was a volunteer at the Fulton County Health Center, and Wyse Commons in the Fairlawn Complex, and was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold.

She is survived by two daughters, Wynemia Waidelich of Archbold and Sharon (Marvin) Lantz of Stryker; eight grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; and a brother, Archie (Ruby) Fielitz of Archbold.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Leon Waidelich; four brothers, Gaylord Fielitz, Dale Fielitz, John Fielitz Jr., and Maynard Fielitz; and one sister, Wanetta Rufenacht.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Zion Mennonite Church with Pastors Cliff Brubaker and Mona Sauder officiating. Interment will precede at 3 p.m. in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Friends may call at Fairlawn Chapel from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to Zion Mennonite Church or Fairlawn Haven.
