Steve Switzer, superintendent of the Pettisville Local School District, said there were a good number of bids from contractors for the new Pettisville school building.
The Ohio School Facilities Commission is paying for most of the construction, along with local funds.
Switzer said in addition to six bids from general contractors, there were
•Nine for fire protection equipment
•Six for landscaping
•Four for food service equipment
•Four for plumbing •Four for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)
•Three for electrical
•Two for HVAC and plumbing.
Several local contractors submitted bids.
The project architect must analyze the bids before the school board can accept them.
If there be anything that can be called genius, it consists chiefly in ability to give that attention to a subject which keeps it steadily in the mind, till we have surveyed it accurately on all sides.–Theodor Reik
