Onnolee R. Knapp, age 81, of Archbold, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Defi- ance Area Inpatient Hospice.
Prior to her retirement she had worked as a telephone operator for the former United Telephone Company and Sprint in Archbold.
Onnolee was born in Fulton County on Oct. 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Augustave and the late Ruth (Buehrer) Brodbeck.
In 1971 she married Harold Knapp, and he preceded her in death in 2002.
She was a member of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold, where she had taught Sunday School and served as an organist for many years.
Surviving are two sisters, Berneda Nofziger of Archbold, Pauline Short of Archbold; one brother, Sonny (Shirley) Wyse of Archbold; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and one sister, Jaquelyn Brodbeck.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at St. John’s Christian Church, with Pastor Erich Christman and Pastor Adam Just, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice.
