Old Photo Corner: Werner Schrag, was employed by the Murbach family. He served as gardener, grass cutter, dishwasher, home maintenance, dog and horse tender, fire wood supplier, babysitter, grocery shopper. Werner never owned or drove an automobile. His only transportation was walking or bicycling. He had the longest perfect attendance record at St. John Reformed Church and served as custodian. Werner never went before the Lord unless properly groomed and dressed in white shirt, tie, navy blue suit, and shined shoes. He always removed his cap upon entering a building. Werner’s birthday was on Flag Day, and he always believed the flags were flown in honor of his birth. Background shows Schnetzler Corner Market, and Fay Nichols Electric
