Ottawa-Glandorf defeated Bloom Carroll 60-56 in overtime to win the Division III regional boys basketball championship, Saturday, March 16, at Bowling Green State University.
The Titans (24-3), who won the Napoleon district and defeated Archbold 52-41 during the regular season, finished sixth in the final Associated Press poll.
It is the second straight year OG is in the Final Four and the seventh time the Titans have made it to the state tournament. The Titans won state titles in 2004 and 2008.
Last year the Titans lost in the semifinals to Portsmouth 74-66.
OG plays third-ranked Ironton (23-2), Thursday, March 21, 10:45 am. Versailles (22-5) plays Leavittsburg LaBrae (24-3) Thursday at 2 pm.
The championship game is Saturday, March 23, 10:30 am.
Leipsic (24-4), who defeated Edgerton 57-49 in the Div. IV regional semifinal at BGSU, beat Ottawa Hills 63-54 in the regional final to advance to the Final Four.
The Vikings play Lancaster Fairfield Christian (25-2), Friday, 2 pm, in a semifinal. Ninth-ranked Troy Christian (26-2) plays second-ranked Cleveland Villa-Angela St. Joseph (23-4) in a semifinal at 10:45 am.
The finals are Saturday, 4:30 pm.
Eighth-ranked Mentor (23-5) plays number one Columbus Northland (28- 0), Friday, 5:15 pm. Thirdranked Cincinnati Walnut Hills (27-1) plays Toledo Rogers (20-7) at 8:30 pm on Friday.
The finals are Saturday, 8:30 pm.
Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary (19-9) plays ninthranked Vincent Warren (26-1), Thursday, 5:15 pm. Seventh-ranked Kettering Archbishop Alter (21-5) plays second-ranked Columbus Bishop Watterson (26- 1), Thursday, 8:30 pm.
The finals are Saturday, 1:30 pm.
