Northwest State Enrollment Grows Again

Officials at Northwest State Community College said last week enrollment at NSCC has grown 5.8%, the eighth consecutive semester of enrollment growth for the college.

Classes for the Fall 2010 semester started Aug. 20; eight-week classes start Oct. 20.

Classes started Monday, Sept. 27, for data base programmers offered the NSCC Custom Training Solutions arm. The new program will train individuals for information technology positions, including those with Ruralogic, an IT start-up company that will open offices in Bryan, Archbold, and Napoleon.

“Although the courses that have been developed will provide needed training for the potential future workforce of Ruralogic, they have been designed to provide skills that are marketable to other industries and will open up job opportunities for individuals throughout the region, “ said Tom Wyle, NSCC vice president of workforce development.
