The Norfolk Southern Railroad was cited for disorderly conduct after blocking the Defiance Street crossing, Friday, Feb. 12.
An Archbold police officer observed the train blocking the crossings at Defiance and Franklin streets at 8:35 am. The train started to move at 9:09 am, but then stopped again.
At 9:26 am the train started moving. Once it cleared the crossings, it stopped again east of Defiance Street, but was no longer blocking the road.
Norfolk Southern was cited under village ordinances, number 103.02(A)(4) which prevents the reckless cause of inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm, by “hindering or preventing the movement of persons of a public street…”
