Nofziger Serves As Hall Chaplain




Lydia Nofziger, daughter of Ross and Jo, Archbold, is serving as a hall chaplain in Ropp Annex Residence Hall at Bluffton University for the 2007-08 school year.

A junior, she is majoring in social work. She is a graduate of Archbold High School and a member of Lockport Mennonite Church.

Hall chaplains serve as spiritual resources to their peers.

The Fulton County Fair in 1900 featured a race between a horse and an automobile, then considered “a newfangled contraption,” said a fair board press release. The horse pulled a victory in the first heat, but the car won the second and even set a state speed record in the third.

After 1973, the demolition derby closed out every year of the Fulton County Fair with one exception, said a fair board press release. A car thrill show filled the time slot in 1977.
