New Circle K Waiting On Final Decision

Roger DeHoek, Real Estate Development Manager for Circle K Great Lakes convenience stores, said a new store for Archbold is still moving forward.

The company plans to demolish the Vernier-Probeck building and the current Circle K store on the southwest corner of North Defiance and Stryker streets, to construct a new 5,200 square-foot store.

Plans initially called for demolition to start July, then were pushed back to August.

DeHoek said the Archbold project has “definitely not been cancelled.” News broke in March that the company planned to build a new store in Archbold. Archbold village and company officials worked out several changes and accommodations. Among those was changing some trim colors for the brick building.

Council granted the company a tax abatement agreement.
