Morris R. Kruse, 83, of Defiance, Ohio died Tuesday evening, Jan. 31, 2012, at CHP Inpatient Hospice in Defiance.
He was born June 27, 1928, in Ridgeville Twp. to the late Rudolph and Deana ( Schroeder) Kruse.
On Jan. 20, 1952, he was married to Gwen (Croninger) Kruse at St. John Lutheran Church, Stryker.
Morris was a plumber for over 35 years and had farmed his family farm since he was a child.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, Stryker, where he was a deacon and trustee.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen; children, Barb (Rick) Baden, Dave (Deb) Kruse, and Mike (Pam) Kruse, all of Ridgeville Corners; grandchildren Jason (Nicole) Baden, Ryan (Kate) Baden, Kari (Justin) Dominique, Josh (Kelly) Kruse, Chad (Michelle) Kruse, Paul Kruse, and Mark Kruse; and eight greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services for Morris Kruse were held on Friday at 11am at St. John Lutheran Church, Corner of St Rte 6 & St Rte 66. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the St. John Lutheran Expansion Fund, CHP Inpatient Hospice, St. John Stained Glass Windows, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
