Montpelier Man Dies In Crash On Christmas




A Montpelier man died in a single vehicle crash on US 20A near Milepost 2 (Co. Rd. 25), Tuesday, Dec. 25, at approximately 7:05 pm, an Ohio State Highway Patrol press release states.

Michael A. Susanowiz, Jr., 41, Montpelier, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer eastbound on US20A near milepost 2. He drove off the left side of the road, overcorrected, and lost control of his vehicle.

His vehicle overturned on the road and continued until he came to rest off the right side of the road.

Susanowiz was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was fatally injured. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Fulton County Sheriff Department, Fulton County EMS, and Fulton County Coroner office.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
