Minivan, SUV Collide July 17

Tyson M. Short, 19, rural Stryker, was cited for driving left of center after the minivan he was driving collided with a sport-utility vehicle about 1:23 pm, Thursday, July 17.

The Fulton County Sheriff Department report states Short was traveling north on St. Rt. 66, and was about a tenth of a mile north of Co. Rd. L, when his vehicle went left of center.

His auto collided with a southbound SUV driven by Elizabeth A. Herbert, 19, Defiance.

Herbert’s vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, overturned over the guardrail, and came to rest along the side of the road.

The report states she suffered possible injuries.

Gene A. Goering III, 19, rural Archbold, was driving a car north on St. Rt. 66 about 9:57 pm, Monday, July 14, when his auto collided with a deer.

The mishap occurred about a half-mile north of Co. Rd. E. The FCSD report states Goering suffered minor cuts on his hands from broken glass.

Shawn M. Maney, 21, rural Archbold, received a citation for failure to control after he was involved in a single-vehicle accident about 3:36 pm, Wednesday, July 16.

The FCSD report state Maney was driving west on Co. Rd. H when his auto went off the right side of the road. The car drove back onto the roadway, crossed the center line, then went off the left side and struck a Toledo Edison utility pole.

The crash occurred about two-tenths of a mile west of Co. Rd. 23.
