The Ohio Bureau of Job & Family Services reported Fulton County unemployment for May was 3.9%.
It’s the lowest figure for Fulton County unemployment in 7 1/2 years. County unemployment has hit 3.9% two other times– in August 2015 and October 2015.
The rate is also the lowest unemployment rate in the four-county area. Defiance, Henry, and Williams counties all had unemployment rates in the 4% range.
ODJFS estimated that during May, there were 900 people out of work and seeking employment in Fulton County, with 22,300 employed, resulting in a total labor force of 23,200.
