Marvin passed away Sunday July 8, 2012, at his home in Archbold.
Marvin was born near Wauseon, the son of Daniel and Rosa (Beck) Grieser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon; two sisters, Dorothy and Florence; and five brothers, Orland, Cletus, Ivan, Chauncy and Dale.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Estelle; son, Alan (Irene) of Swanton; and three sisters, Lucile and Arlene Grieser and Doris Liechty, all of Archbold.
Marvin was involved in the Lord’s work his entire adult life. In 1961, he was licensed for ministry at Springfield Chapel Mennonite Church at Holland, Ohio; two years later, he was ordained.
He was later employed at WPOS-FM Christian Radio in Holland from 1967-1978.
He moved to Sarasota, Fla., and continued his work in Christian Radio at WKZM and served on the Board of Congregational Outreach of the Southeast Convention for six years.
He moved to Murphy, N.C. and served as a district minister for Mennonite churches in Georgia and South Carolina.
In 2000 he came back to Ohio to retire. The Lord called His servant home for eternal rest.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow, Thursday, at 11 a.m. at the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Revs. Jesse Engle and Naomi Engle officiating.
Friends may call at the church from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday.
