Marlin “Jake” Nafziger, age 91, of Archbold, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Hillside Country Living.
Prior to his retirement, he had been an insurance salesman for more than 50 years.
Marlin was born on Oct. 4, 1926, in Stryker. On Dec. 25, 1950, he married Arlene Dierks, and she preceded him in death in 2015.
He was a member of the Stryker United Brethren Church, where he had been active for many years.
Marlin enjoyed woodworking and had also sung in Barbershop Quartets.
Surviving is grandson, Michael (Beth) Harrold of Perrysburg; granddaughter, Jennifer Harrold of Hicksville; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Allison and Lucy Harrold.
Preceding him in death besides his wife, Arlene, were sons, Lynn in 1980 and Todd in 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the Stryker United Brethren Church with Pastor Nick Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in the Stryker Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at the Stryker United Brethren Church from 2-6 p.m., on Thursday.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Stryker United Brethren Church.
