Man Treated, Released After Sept. 23 Crash

Charles H. Johnson, Jr., 31, rural Archbold, was treated and released at the Fulton County Health Center after he was involved in a car-deer accident about 1:10 am, Thursday, Sept. 23.

The Fulton County Sheriff Department report on the crash states Johnson was driving a car west on the US 20A when a deer, running northbound, struck his auto. The collision occurred about four-tenths of a mile east of Co. Rd. 11.

Johnson was taken to FCHC by Wauseon Rescue.


Jack J. Eberly, 65, Stryker, was involved in a mishap when the semi-tractor trailer rig he was driving collided with two deer about 11:11 pm, Sunday, Sept. 19.

The FCSD report states Eberly was driving the semi, owned by Ohio Timberland Trucking, Stryker, east on St. Rt. 2 when a pair of deer ran onto the roadway and collided with the truck. The deer fled the scene. The crash occurred about eighttenths of a mile east of the Fulton-Williams County Line.

No injuries.
