Archbold police arrested an unidentified man they found passed out in a building at the East Gardens complex, Saturday, Oct. 28.
An officer was called to an apartment in the complex about 7:16 am, after reports that an intoxicated male was trying to break into an apartment occupied by an elderly woman.
When the officer arrived, he found an intoxicated male.
The person was “passed out, sleeping in the hallway under the stairwell,” the officer wrote in his report.
Upon checking the suspect’s identity, it was discovered there was a warrant for his arrest from another county. When police searched him, they discovered illegal drugs.
Police transported the suspect to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, where he was booked into the facility on the outstanding warrant.
Police have referred the local offenses, ranging from disorderly conduct to possession of drugs, to the Fulton County Prosecutor.
Tera Rogers, an officer, said police will not release the man’s name because he has not been charged with a crime.
