Man Cited After Vehicle Crashes With Motorcycle

Kent Schrock, 44, Archbold, was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign after his sportutility vehicle and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of Co. Rds. D and 21 at 10:42 am, Sunday, Sept. 2.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol report states Byron Bevard, 32, Pettisville, was riding a motorcycle west on Co. Rd. D, while Schrock’s SUV was northbound on Co. Rd. 21.

The report said Schrock drove into the intersection, and the two vehicles collided.

Bevard was thrown from the motorcycle. Archbold Rescue and ALS-1, the Fulton County paramedic squad based at Archbold, responded to the crash. They called the helicopter ambulance, which landed near the crash scene and transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Bevard was originally listed in fair condition; no further information was available from UTMC.


The hot days of August were called Dog Days by the Romans because in early August, Sirius, the dog star, ascended in the heavens.
