Man Arrested, Charged In Wyse Home Burglary

Joseph Edward Miller, 38, Paulding, has been arrested and charged with theft and burglary charges in connection with the theft of more than $8,400 in property from an Archbold home.

Miller was arrested by Archbold police and booked into the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, Saturday, Sept. 8.

He was charged with three counts of theft and a single count of burglary.

An initial appearance was held in Fulton County Western District Court, Friday, Sept. 14. Miller was bound over to the Fulton County Grand Jury, and was released on his own recognizance.

Miller is charged in connection with the theft of property from the home of Robert W. Wyse, 47, 1105 South Defiance Street.

A rear door was forced open sometime between 6 pm, Friday, Aug. 31, and 2:05 pm, Sunday, Sept. 2.

Taken were credit cards, checkbooks, home electronics, car stereo equipment, and firearms, including a 12- gauge shotgun, a .45-caliber handgun valued at $600, and a 22-250 rifle worth $900.

Also taken was a collectible die-cast model car valued at $2,000.

Tera Rogers, an Archbold police officer, said as of Friday, none of the property has been recovered.
