Lorraine M. Wyse, age 92 years, of Archbold, passed away Thursday evening, April 12, 2012, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
She was born April 28, 1919, near Pettisville, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Frey) Liechty.
She married Wilbur M. Wyse on May 3, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1987.
A lifelong resident of the Pettisville/Archbold area, she was a homemaker and was a volunteer at Sauder Village, Care & Share, and Fulton County Health Center.
She was a member of the Central Mennonite Church near Archbold.
She is survived by four children, Jeanette (Dean) Beck of Archbold, Steve (Susan) Wyse of Naples, Fla., Stan (Donna) Wyse of Kirkland, Wash., and Jim (Sharon) Wyse of Middlebury, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Russ (Marg) Liechty of Goshen, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Donald Liechty, Herman Liechty, Harold Liechty, Wesley Liechty, and Wayne Liechty; and two sisters, Mary Smucker and Doris Lehman.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Central Mennonite Church with Pastors Jeffrey Smith, Bill Holsopple and Wanda Stopher officiating. Interment preceded in the Pettisville Cemetery with Pastor Charles Gautsche officiating.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
