Lonnie L. Engler, age 69, of Archbold, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Lonnie had been a lifelong area farmer and had also worked at GM Powertrain in Defiance for 30 years.
Lonnie was born in Ridgeville Corners, the son of the late Charles and the late Velma (Gerken) Engler.
He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners.
He was an Army veteran. He enjoyed antique tractor pulling.
Surviving is one daughter, Laurie Tillett of Tampa, Fla.; one son, Richard Engler of Archbold; one sister, Bonnie Beck of Archbold; and two grandchildren, Austin and Brianna.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners, with Pastor Vicky Coombs, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Peter Cemetery in Ridgeville Corners.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Diabetes Association.
