Cherie Ann Mercer, 53, rural Archbold, was treated and released at the Fulton County Health Center following a single vehicle crash on US20A, about a tenth of a mile west of Co. Rd. 17 about 3:51 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 26.
The Fulton County Sheriff Department report on the crash states Mercer was driving an SUV west on the highway when the vehicle went out of control due to ice and snow on the roadway.
The vehicle went off the right side of the road, through a ditch, and came to rest facing eastbound.
Wauseon Rescue transported Mercer from the crash scene to FCHC.
Other accidents of local interest on file with the sheriff office follow. None resulted in injuries.
•Friday, Dec. 14, 7:17 pm; Patricia Blanco, 24, rural Fayette, with passengers Jose Manuel Blanco-Arroyo, 24, and Alexa Yoselynn Blanco, 1, same address, was traveling west on Co. Rd. L and collided with a deer about two tenths of a mile east of Co. Rd. 22.
•Monday, Dec. 17, 8:51 am; Nicholas M. Nelson, 28, Wauseon, was driving a semi west on Co. Rd. H-J, when the semi went off the right side of the roadway and overturned in a field about a quarter-mile west of Co. Rd. 19.
•Monday, Dec. 17, 8:56 pm: Lucas Scott Garrow, 23, rural Fayette, was driving a vehicle west on US20A with passenger Courtney Sommers, 21, same address, when the vehicle struck a deer about two-tenths of a mile west of St. Rt. 66.
•Monday, Dec. 24, 10:40 pm: Florencio J. Uribes, 60, rural Wauseon, was driving a pickup truck northbound on Co. Rd. 14 with passenger Eugenia Uribes, 87, same address, when the vehicle went out of control on the Ohio Turnpike overpass. The vehicle spun 180 degrees, striking the guardrail with both the front and rear; report indicates the roadway was ice-covered.
•Friday, Dec. 28, 7:11 am; Alexander J. Bernath, 24, rural Stryker, was driving a car south on Co. Rd. 24 and hit a deer about two-tenths of a mile south of Co. Rd. B.
