Brittany L. Engel, 29, Archbold, was been sentenced on drug possession charges, Friday, April 15, in Fulton County Common Pleas Court.
She was the subject of a secret indictment handed down by the grand jury on Feb. 8. She was indicted on two counts of possession of heroin and one count each, possession of cocaine and possession of drugs.
She entered a guilty plea to one count each, possession of heroin and possession of cocaine. Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said on or about Oct. 26, 2015, she possessed heroin and cocaine.
She was ordered to serve five days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, pay the cost of her prosecution and attorney fees, and a $250 fine. She was placed on two years of community control; ordered to complete treatment at the Wauseon Wellness & Recovery Center, and seek and maintain fulltime employment. Her drive license was suspended for six months with occupational, education, and treatment driving privileges granted.
Failure to comply could result in a 12-month prison sentence.
