A representative of Rite Aid reported a woman stopped in the store and attempted to return vitamins for cash.
The representative told offi cers two women came in the store Saturday, Nov. 8 at about 5:15 pm. One went straight to the vitamin aisle, the second to the counter, and asked the clerk if she could return vitamins for cash.
She presented a receipt from a Rite Aid in Strongsville.
Eariler, the Archbold store had received a call from the Wauseon Rite Aid, who reported that two women had come in with the same request.
Later, when they checked their vitamin aisle, they discovered the vitamins listed on the receipt were missing.
The receipt used in Wauseon was from a Michigan store.
The Archbold clerk refused to make the exchange.
Later, a woman claiming to be the mother of the two women called the Archbold drug store and asked why they would not exchange the vitamins for cash. The woman was told of the Wauseon incident and advised her to return the vitamins to the Strongsville store.
