Like almost everyone, area school districts had to cope with the heavy rains that resulted in flooding and other problems, Tuesday, Nov. 29.
David Deskins, Archbold Area School District superintendent, said some school buses were late Tuesday morning, as drivers had to find alternate routes to avoid flooded roads.
Steve Switzer, Pettisville Local School District superintendent, said the heavy rain didn’t cause a lot of problems for Pettisville school buses, but there were problems with the new school building.
Three new leaks in the roof were discovered. There were two other known leaks.
“However, a total of five leaks in 97,000 square feet of roof with the fall we’ve had isn’t bad,” he said.
