Local Man Indicted




Jerry E. Stevens, 59, Archbold, has been indicted by a Fulton County Grand Jury on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated.

The grand jury met, Monday, Oct. 16, and handed down indictments against Stevens and six others.

Archbold police were notified of a possible drunk driver about 12:11 am, Saturday, Sept. 16.

The police report on the incident states a car, driving west on West Holland Street, attempted to make a right, to go north in an alley about 180 feet west of Ditto Street. As it did so, it struck a utility pole.

Police were told the suspect vehicle was parked in the drive-up lane of the Automated Teller Machine at the Farmers & Merchants State Bank main branch office.

An officer spoke to the driver, identified as Stevens, and placed him under arrest. He was initially charged with DUI and disorderly conduct.

In a press release, Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said “on or about Sept. 16, he allegedly operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.”

Others indicted:

Brandon L. Grime, 23, Bryan; indicted on one count each, assault, aggravated possession of drugs, inducing panic, resisting arrest, theft from a person in a protected class; on or about Sept. 21, allegedly stole property from an elderly person and caused the evacuation of a public place by threatening to commit an offense of violence; allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a police officer while in the performance of his official duties; allegedly possessed methamphetamine and resisted arrest.

•Nathanial L. Fuller, 32, Bryan; indicted on one count, failure to appear on a personal recognizance bond; on or about Sept. 25, allegedly failed to appear for a court hearing on Sept. 25.

•Jeremiah J. Tatkowski, 40, Toledo; indicted on one count, operating a vehicle while intoxicated; on or about Sept. 17, allegedly operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

•Joseph A. Buczko, 34, Swanton; indicted on three counts, insurance fraud; on or about April 10, allegedly submitted false receipts in an insurance claim.

•Scott L. Lambert, 57, Delta; indicted on five counts, trafficking in marijuana; on or about June 30, allegedly sold or offered to sell marijuana.

•Glen C. Kille, 34, Swanton; indicted on one count, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about Oct. 6, allegedly possessed a controlled substance.
