Local Man Arrested, Juvenile Incarcerated

Archbold police arrested a man on a charge of domestic violence and incarcerated a juvenile in two separate incidents recently.

Derek T. Rohda, 24, Archbold, was arrested at his residence in the East Garden Apartments at 11 pm, Saturday, Jan. 11, a police report states.

Police were called to the apartment Rohda shares with Terra Rohdy, 20, at 9:35 pm.

The report states the couple got into an argument over housework. Rhoda said he became upset “when she told him that he could not hold his son.”

During the course of the argument, a soda can was thrown, and someone attempted to put a pillow in a toilet.

Rohdy told officers Rohda allegedly grabbed her by the throat and struck her in an eye.

Officers noted in their report Rohdy’s eye was swollen, and there were red marks on her neck and chest.

Officers placed Rohda under arrest, and transported him to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

An initial appearance was held in Fulton County Western District Court on Monday, Jan. 13, where he entered a not guilty plea. He was released from CCNO that day.

Officers stated in their report it was “in the juvenile’s best interest to incarcerate.” The youth was taken to the Four County Juvenile Detention Center.
