A nine-year-old Archbold boy is under house arrest after he admitted to starting a fire that did $2,000 in damage.
The Archbold Fire Department was dispatched to a shed fire at 205 Middle Street at about 7:14 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 12.
Jacob Flores, of the same address, owned the shed.
An Archbold police officer also responded to the fire.
The officer stated in his report, “Upon arrival and during the investigation, a juvenile admitted to setting the fire.
“The juvenile stated he used gasoline and a lighter to start the fire.
“Damage was estimated at $2,000.
“The juvenile was taken into custody, and later released to a guardian on house arrest.”
