Craig Link, industrial arts teacher in the Archbold School District, is retiring after 23 years of service to the district.
The Archbold School Board approved his retirement resignation at its Monday, March 15 meeting.
A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Link taught for three years at the Forest Hills Northern High School at Grand Rapids, Mich., before joining the Archbold staff.
His resignation becomes effective Aug. 1.
The board also accepted the retirement resignation of Diania Nemcik, special education tutor for Archbold schools. She, too, graduated from BGSU, with a degree in medical technology. The effective date of her resignation is at the end of the current school year.
Jodi Gerken, AHS secretary for many years, had her retirement resignation accepted. Gerken’s retirement is effective June 30.
In addition, Jenna Stuckey has resigned as middle school cashier, effective at the end of this school year.
The board approved the resignation of Courtney Grisier as the elementary spring musical director. The board filled the position with Jennifer Cobb, approving a one-year contract.
Two students, Adam Walker and Caleb Hogrefe, were named student custodial workers for the summer. Rusty Short was approved as a student worker for technology support and a casual laborer for the summer.
Two firms, Great Lakes Biomedical and Activate Healthcare, were approved to provide physicals for school bus and van drivers for 2021-22.
The board approved the paraprofessional substitute list provided by the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center for the 2020-21 school year.
The board also approved the list of fall sports coaches.
David Dominique remains head football coach, Rachel Kinsman continues as head cross country coach, Debbie Culler starts her second year as head volleyball coach, and Logan Wyse returns as girls tennis coach.
James Kidder remains the head coach of girls soccer, while Stewart Rodger starts his second year as head boys soccer coach. Mike Rosebrook returns as golf coach.
