Lillian M. Aeschliman, age 93 years, of West Unity, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 11, 2011, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
She was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Goshen, Ind., the daughter of Noah and Clara (Yoder) Long.
She married Wilbur “Bill” Aeschliman on Dec. 28, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1979.
A resident of the West Unity area for 42 years, she worked at Lauber Manufacturing in Archbold and Sauder Manufacturing in Stryker.
She was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church.
She is survived by four children, Terry (Ann) Aeschliman and Cindy (Jerry) Winzeler, both of Stryker, Sam (Pam) Aeschliman of Vanderbilt, Mich., and William “Bill” (Sharon) Aeschliman of Montpelier; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, David, killed in Vietnam on Jan. 17, 1970; a grandson, Jason Aeschliman, 7 1/2 years; two brothers; and three sisters.
Memorial services were held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastor Jesse Kahler and Rev. Charles Zimmerman offi ciating. Interment preceded in the Floral Grove Cemetery at West Unity.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
