Joshua Liechty, 33, rural Fayette, was charged with a crime he allegedly committed while he was being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio waiting for trial on other charges.
The Archbold police report notes an officer checked on the phone calls Liechty made while at CCNO.
The officer wrote in his report, “I observed that the inmate (Liechty) had contacted an individual that has a protection order against him.
“The village solicitor was advised, and charges will be filed.”
Liechty has been charged with violation of a protection order.
As of Sunday night, Liechty, who faces charges ranging from felony fleeing and eluding a police officer to domestic violence, is being held at CCNO, where he has been since Sunday, July 27.
Bond for Liechty is set at $25,000 cash.
