L. Dennis Miller, age 66 years, of Paulding and formerly of Defiance, passed away Saturday morning, April 24, 2010, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.
He was born June 7, 1943, at Wauseon, the son of Emil and Ruth (Pursel) Miller. He married DeEtta Kiessling in 1963, and they later divorced. He married Eva Bechtel on Feb. 17, 1996.
He worked at LaChoy Food Products and Sauder Woodworking Co., both in Archbold. He served nine years in the Army National Guard, and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Eva; two daughters, Laurene (Mark) Willitzer and Wendy (Jon) Tillery, both of Paulding; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale (Nancy) Miller of Fremont; two sisters, Betty (Ben) Ashbaugh of West Unity and Clara Irene (Frank) Garza of Archbold.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, DeEtta; and a grandson, David (JR) Kulwicki Jr.
Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday. Private graveside services will be held in the Lockport Cemetery, rural Stryker, with Pastor Charles Gautsche officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Short Funeral Home to help with expenses.
