Kidder, Peterson District Soccer Players Of Year



Josh Kidder, an Archbold junior, was named the co- Player of the Year in Division III by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association for the 2017 boys soccer season.

Kevin Hileman, Ottawa Hills, was also named Co- Player of the Year.

Barnaby Wyse, Pettisville, was named Coach of the Year. Ali Garcia, Archbold, was named Assistant Coach of the Year.

Joining Josh Kidder on the First Team All-District were Kaiden Bedsole, an AHS senior; Connor Wyse, a Pettisville senior; and Detric Yoder, a PHS junior.

Archbold’s Denver Beck and Andrew Hogrefe were named to the second team.

Pettisville’s Dillon King and Landon Roth received honorable mentions.

Girls

In girls soccer, Emie Peterson, an AHS senior, was named the Player of the Year.

James Kidder, Archbold, was named the Coach of the Year. Jennifer Kidder, Archbold, is the Assistant Coach of the Year.

Joining E. Peterson on the First Team All-District was Brooke Kohler, an AHS senior.

Kamryn Hostetler and Andi Peterson were named to the second team.

Academic Awards

Senior varsity players receiving NWOSSCA academic awards for achieving a 3.7 gpa or above for their high school careers were Beck, Bedsole, Connor Hagans, Lucas Yoder, Leah Hall, Hostetler, Kohler, E. Peterson, Archbold; King, Roth, and Garrett Young, Pettisville.

Coaching Victory Milestone Awards

James Kidder and Sean Stewart, AHS head boys soccer coach, were winners of the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Coaching Victory Milestone Awards.

The award is in recognition for reaching 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350- varsity win milestones.

James Kidder has 160 wins while Stewart had 117 wins after the 2017 seasons.
