Kenneth L. Bly, 90, passed away on Oct. 29, 2010, at Suncoast Hospice Brookside, Palm Harbor, Fla.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Olive, son, Bruce, of Archbold, daughter, Laurie Young, Largo, Fla., and families; nine grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Carol Anne Traxler; parents, Lloyd and Mabel Bly; brothers Donald, Van Dorn, Maurice and Lewis.
He served five years in the U.S. Coast Guard and returned to his hometown, West Unity, to establish the Bly Agency with his father. They sold real estate and insurance and were auctioneers.
Ken served as mayor for 12 years and helped found the W.U. Development Co. He was a charter member of American Legion Post 669 and a 32 degree Mason.
He retired to Lake Highlander MHP, Dunedin, Fla., and enjoyed golfing and shuffling.
Services will be held at the Park and he will be interned at Floral Grove Cemetery, W.U. next summer.
