The Archbold junior varsity football team completed its season with a 6-0 record. It follows an undefeated 2008 season when the JV finished 8-0.
The JV plays Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. A full schedule of eight games was set at the start of the season, but Montpelier and Delta cancelled.
Archbold finished with two very close games against Patrick Henry and Wauseon.
With the score tied at 20 at Patrick Henry, the Streaks mounted a drive with 44 seconds remaining. They moved the length of the field to get a score and the 26-20 victory with two seconds left.
The next week Archbold hosted Wauseon. The Streaks were behind 8-6 late in the fourth quarter with Wauseon driving. The Streaks picked off an Indian pass around the two-minute mark. They completed a drive and scored to take a 12-8 lead with 37 seconds left.
Following the kickoff, Archbold picked off another Indian pass to secure the 12- 8 win.
Earlier wins: 44-6 at Ayersville, 28-18 at Bryan, 60- 6 over Evergreen, 26-12 at Swanton.
