The Archbold junior high boys track and field team completed an undefeated season by winning their fourth consecutive Northwest Ohio Athletic League championship at the league meet in Bryan, Saturday, May 17. First-place finishers included Sam Petersen, pole vault and 200-meter hurdles; Noah Blankenship, 400; and the 4×400-meter relay team of Caden Garrow, Sam Petersen, Nic Rodriguez, and Noah Blankenship. The Archbold junior high girls track and field team finished one point out of third place at the NWOAL meet. First-place finishers included Giulia Lee, shot put (new meet record) and pole vault; Macey Rupp, high jump; and Dakota Stamm, 400. “With only 14 girls out for track this year the odds were stacked against them, but they competed very well in all of their meets throughout the season and had a great showing at the league meet,” said Bryan Miller, coach.
