Pettisville 7th Grade Girls Basketball

 

Pettisville defeated Fayette 33-15, Monday, Jan. 18. Pettisville leading scorers: Jordyn Pursel 18 points, Taylor Rychener 6.

Pettisville (14-0, 10-0 Buckeye Border Conference) defeated Fayette 40-21, Saturday, Jan. 23. Pettisville leading scorers: Mikala Avina and Rychener, 14 points each.

Pettisville 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Fayette defeated Pettisville 29-23, Saturday, Jan. 16. Pettisville leading scorers: Tate Kauffman, 7 points; Eli King and Jordan Bontrager, 6 each. Fayette leading scorers: Lantz, 12; Shaffer, Michael, 5 each.

Pettisville (5-7, 4-5 Buckeye Border Conference) defeated North Central 48-30, Monday, Jan. 18. Pettisville leading scorers: Dustin Lucas, 22; Kauffman, 17; Noah Miller, 4; Levi Rash, 2.

Pettisville 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Fayette defeated Pettisville 33-30, Saturday, Jan. 16. Pettisville leading scorers: Dominic Frey, 10 points; Jeremy Mann, 9; James Lamb, 8. Fayette leading scorer: Sanford, 16.

Pettisville (8-4, 6-3 Buckeye Border Conference) defeated North Central 49-34, Monday, Jan. 18. Pettisville leading scorers: Forest Stuckey, 11; Cam Norris, 8; Jeff Ramey, 6; Andrew Mayer, 5.

Pettisville 8th Grade Girls Basketball

Pettisville defeated North Central 31-8, Monday, Jan. 18. Pettisville scoring: Lauren Hostetler, 14 points; Emily Hubby, 7; Audra Klopfenstein, Andrea Hernandez, Taylor Schnitkey, Kaylyn McDermott, 2 each.

Hilltop defeated Pettisville (9-5, 8- 2 Buckeye Border Conference) 39-26, Saturday, Jan. 23. Pettisville leading scorers: Klopfenstein, 12; Hostetler, 5; Claire Waidelich, 4; Hubby, 3; McDermott, 2.

Archbld 8th Grade Girls Basketball

The Streaks traveled to Liberty Center, Monday, Jan. 25. After a slow start, Archbold won 34-7. Jen Gerken had 11 points and 3 steals. Cassidy Wyse had 10 points. Also scoring were Jesse Fidler, Lexi Ramirez, Bailey Short, Desi Newman and Krista Leupp. Fidler had 10 rebounds.

Swanton visited, Tuesday, Jan. 26. The Streaks won 34-10. Wyse had 11 points and Fidler, 10. Also scoring were Leupp, Jesse Walker, Ciara Burris, Gerken and Ramirez. Leupp had 6 assists.

Delta visited Archbold, Thursday, Jan. 28, and was held to just one field goal in the 33-3 Archbold victory. Wyse led the way with 9 points followed by Fidler and Gerken with 6 each. Also scoring were Leupp, Newman, Walker, Ramirez and Paige Peterson. Fidler had 6 steals and 5 rebounds.

Archbold is 12-0.

Archbold 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Archbold won three games last week to run its season-best win streak to four games, and bump its record to 9-3.

The Streaks downed Liberty Center 38-29, Monday, Jan. 25. Tyson Schnitkey had 10 points and seven rebounds. Lee Klinger, Micah Bernath, and Evan Wyse combined for 20 points.

Archbold pounded Swanton 40- 13 in a rescheduled game, Tuesday, Jan. 26. Jase Grosjean scored 10 points and added six assists.

Behind Grosjean’s career-high 22 points, the Streaks finished with a hard-fought 49-39 win over Delta, Thursday, Jan. 28. Jacob Reyes added 10, while Schnitkey and E. Wyse combined for 14.

Archbold Wrestling

Northwood Jr. High Invitational, Saturday, Jan. 23:

Archbold 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Archbold picked up three more wins last week to run its record to 12- 0. The Streaks faced Liberty Center, Monday, Jan. 25. Playing a sluggish first quarter, AMS was down by four heading into the second quarter. Then it was all Archbold as it posted a 57-22 victory. Brandon Goering led the way with 20 points. Levi Wyse and Luke Fisher combined for 22.

Archbold had a make-up game with Swanton, Tuesday, Jan. 26. Archbold started strong and headed into the locker room with a 28-9 lead. The Streaks shut out the Bulldogs in the third and went on to win 56-16. Goering and Wyse each had 18. Grant Rupp and Gavin Morton combined for 14.

Archbold traveled to Delta, Thursday, Jan. 28 to take on the 9-2 Panthers. AMS rolled out to a 12-0 lead after one period. The Streaks increased it to 29-8 at halftime, went into the fourth quarter with a commanding 26-point lead, and coasted to a 42-22 victory.

Archbold hosts tournament action, Saturday, Feb. 6. The Streaks play Swanton at 10 a.m.

Archbold 8th Grade Girls Basketball

Archbold continued its winning ways and is now 9-0. At Fairview on Tuesday, Jan. 12, the Streaks raced out to a 28-8 halftime score and won 36-13. Jesse Fidler had 10 points and 3 rebounds. Also scoring: Cassidy Wyse, 6; Jen Gerkin, 5; Desi Newman and Paige Peterson, 4 each; Kayla Leaser, 3; Lexi Rameriz and Jesse Walker, 2 each. Wyse had 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Krista Leupp had 4 assists.

At Patrick Henry on Thursday, Jan 14, Archbold again raced out to a big lead and won 54-21. Fidler had 15 points and 5 steals. Wyse had 12 points with 5 steals and 5 rebounds. Also scoring: Leupp, Newman, Jessie Walker, Leaser, Gerken, Ramirez and Bailey Short.

Montpelier visited on Thursday, Jan. 21, and the Streaks won 53-4. Fidler had 14 points and 4 steals; Wyse, 11 points and 8 steals. Newman had 8 rebounds. Leupp dished out 5 assists.
